Yoga and meditation provide many health benefits such as stress reduction, reduced cortisol levels, and management of post-traumatic symptoms including depression, anxiety and insomnia. There are two essay introductions to mediation and yoga by author Catherine Keating, along with videos of helpful poses demonstrated by renowned yogi Alex Auder. All levels can do the restorative poses she teaches – the absolute novice to the advanced yoga practitioner.
